Young women participate in physical training, including rappelling down the side of a seven-story building.

Camp Fury is based on real-life law enforcement and firefighter training skills and many of the girls competing in the camp envision working in one of these fields in the future.

“It’s about courage, confidence and character and if our girls take those three things away, we know that they can do anything that they put their minds to,” Cheryl Horvath, founder of Camp Fury, said.

Camp Fury also puts to rest stereotypes that exist in these rigorous training activities.
